This year Mount Harmon is filled with opportunities for stewardship, education, and fun. True to its mission, Friends of Mount Harmon continues to shepherd in a new era of preservation and productivity. Visitors of all ages continue to discover Mount Harmon as a premiere heritage destination for recreation, education, and renewal. Thanks to support from good friends like you, Mount Harmon continues to grow and evolve. We have recently expanded our living history campus with reconstructed smoke house, tobacco barn, and slave quarters, to better bring to life our plantation and colonial history.
Be sure to explore our website for information on special programs and events, and visit often. We have a wonderful array of programs planned to bring history and nature to life including an expanded special events series, workshop & program series, educations programs, guided manor house and nature tours, and much more.
If you are a FOMH member, thank you! Members help make it possible to preserve, operate, and maintain Mount Harmon. If you have not renewed your annual membership or joined FOMH yet, please join or renew today! FOMH Members enjoy free admission, newsletters, special invitations and discounts, and your membership is tax deductible.
If you love history and nature, please consider joining our terrific team of volunteers. Volunteers are the life-blood of Mount Harmon and provide the vital assistance needed to make our programs possible. Volunteers are needed for everything from working in the gift shop and visitor center, to giving guided house tours and assisting with our school program and special events, to helping in the office and with mailings, to working on the gardens and grounds.
